 Remodeled | ASHBY AVENUE, BERKELEY

A family room addition, a bedroom extension, 4 bathroom remodels (including 1 twice, see below), a kitchen remodel, built in cabinetry in several rooms, seismic strengthening and an extensive exterior restorative painting project have enabled these clients to create a stunning Berkeley residence over the 12 or more years these various projects were completed.
Note about the master bath remodels: The original goal for the bathroom remodel in 1988 was to eliminate doors into the bathroom from the master bedroom and adjacent bedroom, limiting entry to the remaining hallway door. This allowed for the installation of the shower where the entry to the master bedroom had been located. The most recent remodel in 2004 converted the bathroom to be exclusively the master bathroom by closing off the hallway door and reopening the door from the master bedroom. Also the design took into consideration, in a more sensitive way, the architecture of the home as exemplified by the style of the pedestal basin and the floor tile design.
