Dear Larry:
We spend a lot of time these days admiring our kitchen remodel / breakfast room addition / new entrance and landscaping. It's time we wrote to let you know that we consider the project a success and to say thanks to everyone who helped make it happen.
It was quite an experience, particularly during the days when heavy rains turned the front yard to muck and the wind threatened to tear away the protective tarp over the framing for the new room. We had to pick the wettest winter in years to start construction! But John kept his eye on everything, even during the bad weather. And after months of almost daily contact, we can only applaud his attention to detail, his availability when questions came up, and his good humor.
Amy was great, too -- she has excellent ideas, but she never tried to force them on us, and her advice and resources helped bring our vision to reality, in terms of design, materials, and colors.
Thanks to George for his construction expertise and especially for coming up with a whole new approach when our entrance and landscaping project was getting out of hand financially. And thanks to both of you for your regular visits to oversee the work and your troubleshooting when needed.
It seemed terribly quiet when the last detail was completed and you all left. We joked about missing you, but I really do miss having someone around who cared as much about my house as I do. And best of all, knew how to achieve things I'd been wishing for and dreaming about for years. That's what we felt from all of you -- that you have a genuine commitment to doing good work and giving your clients a product that will provide years of enjoyment. Your subcontractors were, without exception, equally committed to quality.
Our remodel/addition is giving us much pleasure every day, and we'd be happy to show it to anyone who may be considering a building project with Federal.
