The previously remodeled marble bath was too small and didn't have a stall shower, the laundry was two floors below the master bedroom, the closet space was dismal, the S.F. Bay view was somewhat obscured from the master bath and bedroom, and the master bedroom was small. Other wise this Berkeley home near the Claremont Hotel was quite charming with a colorful and spacious living room/dining room and remodeled kitchen. Shrinking an adjacent bedroom allowed the master bedroom to be made larger and have its own large walk-in wardrobe closet. Removing the existing master bedroom closet and taking a little space from the corner of the master bedroom allowed for a larger spa bath at the window to enjoy the view and room for a large stall shower. Adding a window to the master bedroom for a total of three enhanced the view.
